NATASHA House is a transitional home for homeless women and children that will empower and equip them to achieve and maintain self-sufficiency.

Historic Facts

  • November 2001, determined the need with County officials
  • January, 2002, met with Codes and Compliance to add language to County Code for special housing
  • March 2002, met with HUD multi-family housing specialist
  • April, 2002, held community Interest meeting to share vision with community
  • Secured land-lease from Faith For Living Outreach Center to build Natasha House
  • May, 2002, held faith-based symposium to initiate community collaboration
  • December, 2002 Text  Amendment passed Planning Commission
  • January, 2003, Text Amendment passed Board of Supervisors
  • May, 2003 met and contracted with Architect
  • November, 2003 Special Use Permit passed Board of Supervisors
  • December, 2003, met and contracted with Site Surveyor
  • January-July, 2004 sharing vision in community
  • August, 2004 Architectural drawings complete
  • August, 2004, Site plans submitted to County for approval
  • May, 2006, Groundbreaking
